Unit 6- Teapot

I tried making this piece as part of my unit 5 useful piece, but along with that it broke, and i don't have time to redo it.

Unit 6 Platter-Final

I liked doing this piece, I started off with a mold in a glass bowl to get the shape, with a layer of plastic underneath so it didn't stick, next I had to let it dry so I could then put in on the throw machine. I then smoothed out the edges and added interesting feet on the bottom to combine it with that project.

Unit 6 Choice Project

For my choice project, I chose to recreate a piece that I made earlier in the year, I wanted to recreate it because the other one I had made I never finished because I forgot to hollow it out. This was a fun piece because I had already known how to do it, so it was easy

Whimsical House

I had no idea how I was about to go and create a whole house for this, so I searched pinterest for the idea. I ended up seeing the idea of a witch hat being a birdhouse, so I thought what if I make a whimsical house/birdhouse with a witch hat on top.

I was searching pinterest for organic ceramic pieces, and I found a piece that look similar to this, but with 2 openings with flowers, and it was much more perfect, not abstract. So I wanted to create something with that in the in the back of my head. And I just started to be abstract with it and add pieces to pieces and I ended up with this.

Interesting feet

This was the other side of my platter final. to do this I had the process from the platter final, and then from that point I started to carve out the bottom so it was smoother and smoother, and I added a ring for the feet which I then smoothed out to look how it does now.
