The Son Of Man's Hat
When I first started my final, I thought back to an 8th grade art project I had to do, when i was scrolling through famous art pieces. "The Son Of Man" by René Magritte, I was originally going to do the whole piece, the man, the apple, and the top hat. but Mrs. T told me that in every one of his pieces there is one thing that remains constant, the hat. So I started the hat. I grabbed a mold and molded the top of the hat, that's how I made it round. They I used this bucket to outline the outside of the hat, once I combines both those pieces, I realized that the top of the hat wasn't tall enough, so I outlined the original shape on a piece of paper and outlines another circle and put that on top of the hat. And that was the finished creation. Then I had to do the glazing, so once it was out of the kilm I started with 1 layer of each and repeated that process 3 times. it was difficult to do since the black glaze would drip into the grey. Once that was done I just loaded it right back into the kilm.
